Wedemeyer winners

Willow Glen High School's Ngoan Phan and Gilbert Rosales, Nick Larice of Live Oak High School and Marrield Berry of Santa Teresa each won scholarships when the Charlie Wedemeyer Family Outreach presented its sixth annual Celebration of Hope on May 13 at the Decathlon Club.

The Wedemeyer program has contributed $90,000 to area high school seniors who have overcome adversity. "These student-athletes have been through so much," says Carri Wedemeyer Andry, president, "yet, like my dad, they are a true example of persevering in spite of their circumstances." The students are nominated by either a coach, administrator or teacher.
