Day with Giants
Sunday Friends will be making friends on Saturday night when the nonprofit organization hosts a night with the San Jose Giants on Aug. 21, 5 p.m., at San Jose Municipal Stadium.
Tickets are priced at four for $25 or 20 for $100 will all proceeds going to the Sunday Friends Foundation, which supports the homeless and very low income families in San Jose. Gates open at 3:30 p.m., and ticket discounts are only available in advance through Sunday Friends.

Bodybuilding
The 24th annual San Jose Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure Championships will be held July 31 at the Parkside Hall in downtown San Jose. The event is a national qualifier for men and women hoping to compete in the national championships Nov. 19 in Dallas, Texas.
Prejudging begins at 10 a.m., and the admission price is $15. Finals begin at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are priced at $20, $25 and $35. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the special needs students in the Eastside Unified School District.

Girls golf
The 14th annual Corena Green Classic golf tournament for girls ages 817 will be held Aug. 3 at the Peninsula Golf and Country Club in San Mateo. The entry fee of $10 includes nine holes of golf and lunch.
Players will compete for $2,800 in scholarships in the 1417 age division, and there will be awards to top finishers in all age groups. The tournament is sponsored by the Women's Nine Hole Golf Association of Northern California. For more information, call Bette Ulrich at 650.348.1778.
Camp With the Pros
South Bay Baseball will present the annual Camp With the Pros summer baseball camp series.
Baseball camps will be held Aug. 913 at the Union Little League field and Aug. 1620 at the Lincoln Glen Little League field. The cost is $129 per camper and camp hours are 9 a.m.1 p.m. each day.
Instructors include camp director Roger Samuels, a former pitcher for the San Francisco Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates; Mark Cummins, a former professional infielder and the longtime head baseball coach at Live Oak High School; and Ernie Broglio, a former 20-game winner for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Summer swimming
The pool at Willow Glen Middle School is open for summer swim lessons and recreational swimming from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug. 13.
