I just wanted to sound off about one of our local Willow Glen businesses. I have been taking my automobiles into Larry's Foreign Auto for about eight years. We had a couple of seat-belt problems with our vehicle that needed immediate attention for safety reasons. Imagine my shock when my wife took the car in without an appointment to see if Joe, the owner, could fix the two problems. Joe stopped what he was doing, and asked my wife to come back in about 45 minutes; upon returning, she found both problems fixed.

Then she told me the repairs cost zero, absolutely free. We are not Larry's best customers by any means, but the fact remains that I feel it very important to mention Larry's for this very reason.

In this day and age of tough times, it is rare to get such great service, let alone for free. I know most businesses including Larry's do not operate this way normally, but what Joe did for our car has to be told. I just wanted to tell the owner publicly that his act of kindness was appreciated and that I will continue to support his business in the future.

I also want Willow Glen residents to know that this was not intended as an advertisement by any means. But if you are out there looking for a good auto mechanic who is fair and honest, I would not hesitate in taking my vehicle to Larry's Foreign Auto on Lincoln Avenue.
