Trustees need to set
the priorities in order
Bob Mulvany hit the nail right in the coffin when he stated in his excellent letter in the Sept. 1 issue of the Willow Glen resident that three of the school board members, Gary Rummelhoff, Richard Garcia and Jorge Gonzalez will stop at nothing to undermine the efforts of the new San Jose Unified School District Superintendent Don Iglesias.
These three do not care about student performance, they are girlie-men who are running the school board like a girl's coffee club rather than trying to get the best possible education for each and every student.
I support incumbent trustee Carol Myers; she cares about Willow Glen schools getting their fair share of the funding. And I plan to oppose the school district when they come with cup in hand for a parcel tax that will be wasted on ideas that that do not have the interests of students first.

Myers is committed to
helping our schools
I would like to say ditto to Bob Mulvany's opinion commentary in the Sept. 1 issue of the Willow Glen Resident regarding Carol Myers.
I have been involved at both the elementary and the middle school level at both a "well-off" school and a disadvantaged school in Willow Glen. Any time I had a question or needed a resource Carol had the answer. She commits day and night to our district something I suspect the other board members can not say. She has an excellent working relationship with our new superintendent which is crucial to Willow Glen getting it's needs met.
I do hope people voting will take the time to get to know the candidates then I feel confident Carol will be with us and fighting for us for a long time.
