Lincoln golf
The seventh annual Lincoln High School golf tournament will be held Oct. 8 at the Santa Teresa Golf Course. The entry fee is $175 and includes green fees, a golf cart, a foursome photograph, tee prizes, lunch and dinner. There will also be a raffle and silent auction.

Bronco golf
The annual Santa Clara University Bronco Baseball Golf Tournament returns to the Cinnabar Hills Golf Club on Oct. 22. The shotgun start for the best ball scramble tournament is at 12:30 p.m., and the proceeds benefit the SCU baseball team, coached by Mark O'Brien.
The tourney entry fee of $225 before Oct. 6 and $240 after Oct. 6 ($65 for dinner only) includes green fees, a golf cart, a foursome photograph, range balls, tee prizes, lunch and dinner. Registration begins at 10 a.m. on the day of the tournament and the dinner is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. following no host cocktails at 5:30 p.m.

Lacrosse clinic
The South Valley Lacrosse organization, which offers a spring league for boys and girls in grades 36, will host a free fall clinic on Oct. 16, 10 a.m.noon, at Cahalen Park in San Jose.
The purpose of the clinic is to prepare players for the spring season that runs from February through May 31. Players need no previous experience to participate in the clinic, and equipment will be provided.

Youth swimming
The Silicon Valley Recreational swimming program is open to grade-school age children who can swim 15 to 25 yards, breathe to the side and float on their backs.
Swimmers will learn the four Olympic strokes in 30-minute practice sessions two to four times a week at the Gunderson High School Aquatics Center in San Jose. For more information, call 408.227.5884 or email sjaoffice@aol.com to sign-up.
