LGLL sign-ups
The Lincoln Glen Little League will hold sign-ups for the 2005 season on Nov. 13 and 20, 9 a.m.noon, and Dec. 8, 68 p.m., in the rec room at River Glen Park (at the corner of Bird and Pine).
All new players must provide a birth certificate and proof of residency (MapQuest of home address and a copy of the latest PG&E bill). All returning players must verify information with the league. The fee is $125 for players ages 56, $160 for players ages 712 and $170 for players ages 1316 (the maximum is $350 per family).
Tryouts for players ages 712 will be held on Jan. 8 and 9.

Hall of Fame
The 10th annual San Jose Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremonies will be held Nov. 4 at the HP Pavilion when Kurt Rambis, John Brodie, Amy Chow and the late Pat Tillman join the 45 members already enshrined.
Activities begin with a VIP reception and silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by the dinner ceremony at 7 p.m. Dinner tickets, priced at $150, can be reserved by calling 408.288.2932. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Special Olympics Silicon Valley Region.
Additional honorees at the dinner will be five Athletes of the Year. Among the award winners are Amateur Athletes of the Year Tara Kirk, a former Stanford swimmer and silver medalist at the Athens Olympics, and Jason Windsor, a former pitcher at Leigh High School who was the Most Outstanding Pitcher at the College World Series for NCAA champion Cal State Fullerton; High School Athletes of the Year Allie Miller of Los Altos, the state high jump champion, and Zac Monsees of Leland, an all-Central Coast Section water polo player and swimmer who qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials; and Special Olympian of the Year Stacey Stevenson of San Jose, a multi-sport athlete who has won gold medals in swimming and track and field.
SCU baseball
The Santa Clara University baseball coaching staff will host a series of clinics throughout November and December for players of all ages.
Players in grades 1012 can participate in a prospect camp on Nov. 2628 at Bellomy Field, the SCU practice facility. A pitching and catching clinic for players ages 1318 will be held in two different sessions--Dec. 4 and 5, 10 a.m.noon each day--in the cage area at Buck Shaw Stadium. A holiday kids camp for children ages 612 will be held Dec. 2023 in two sessions--9 a.m.noon and 14 p.m.
