WGLL sign-ups

The Willow Glen Little League is holding online registration for players aged 5­18 for the 2005 baseball season.

All new players must provide proof of age (birth certificate or passport) and all players must provide proof of residency (utility or property tax bill).

Following online registration, players must present their eligibility documents at a verification night, either Dec. 2 or Jan 13, 6­9 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1336 Cherry Ave. (between Willow Street and Minnesota Avenue).

Fees paid prior to Dec 31 are $110 for players ages 5­12 and $120 for players ages 13­18. Fees paid after Dec 31 are $135 and $145. Tryouts for players ages 8­12 will be held on Jan 15 and Jan 22.

Coach needed

Willow Glen High School is looking for a badminton coach for the 2005 spring season. Those interested should contact athletic director Peggy Booth at 408.535.6330 or fax a resume to 408.535.2353.

 

LGLL sign-ups

The Lincoln Glen Little League will hold sign-ups for the 2005 season on Dec. 8, 6­8 p.m., in the rec room at River Glen Park (at the corner of Bird and Pine).

All new players must provide a birth certificate and proof of residency (MapQuest of home address and a copy of the latest PG&E bill). All returning players must verify information with the league. The fee is $125 for players ages 5­6, $160 for players ages 7­12 and $170 for players ages 13­16 (the maximum is $350 per family).

Tryouts for players ages 7­12 will be held on Jan. 8 and 9.

Softball tryouts

The Diamonds will hold tryouts for their 18 Gold and 12 and under teams on Dec. 11­12 at the Twin Creeks Sports Complex in Sunnyvale.

The 18 Gold will tryouts at 1 p.m. for pitchers and catchers and at 2 p.m. for position players for its summer team.

The 12 and under team will hold tryouts at 9 a.m. for pitchers and catchers and at 10 a.m. for position players for its spring/summer season.
