Baseball coaches

Willow Glen High School is looking for assistant baseball coaches for the varsity and frosh-soph teams in 2005. For more information, call athletic director Peggy Booth at 408.535.6330, ext. 745.

 

WGLL sign-ups

The Willow Glen Little League is holding online registration for players aged 5­18 for the 2005 baseball season.

All new players must provide proof of age (birth certificate or passport) and all players must provide proof of residency (utility or property tax bill).

Following online registration, players must present their eligibility documents at a verification night on Jan. 13, 6­9 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1336 Cherry Ave. (between Willow Street and Minnesota Avenue).

Fees paid prior to Dec 31 are $110 for players ages 5­12 and $120 for players ages 13­18. Fees paid after Dec 31 are $135 and $145. Tryouts for players ages 8­12 will be held on Jan 15 and Jan 22.

LGLL sign-ups

The Los Gatos Little League will accept registration forms for players in the major and AAA divisions through Dec. 15, and the T-ball, A and AA divisions through Jan. 15. After those dates, late fees will apply for all registrants.

AAA and major division tryouts will be held Jan. 8, and no registrations in those divisions will be accepted after that date.

Resolution Run

The annual Los Gatos Resolution Run returns on New Year's Day. The 5-mile run begins at 9 a.m. on Jan. 1 at the Los Gatos High School track, with proceeds from the event benefiting the track repair fund at the school. Register at Athletic Performance (408.354.73650 or online at TheSCHEDULE.com. Race day registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

 

Baseball tryouts

BayArea Baseball will be hold tryouts for the 2005 summer season in December and January. The organization field teams in the 18 and under, 17 and under and 16 and under age divisions, and teams will travel to showcase tournaments in Arizona, Southern California and Hawaii.
