Del Monte site D's closes Bird Avenue bend
Although bringing baseball to San Jose may be a dream of Mayor Ron Gonzales, the idea of having a ballpark at the Del Monte site seems more like a nightmare for Willow Glen residents.  More On Feb. 12, the establishment located at 1180 Lincoln Ave. shut down its business, according to co-owner Florence O'Sullivan.  More The Wrights celebrated their first Christmas on Bird Ave. in 1965 with a small, potted green spruce tree.  More
