Confusion about track
needs to be cleared up
The new track at the Willow Glen High School is great. I'm noticing new people using it every morning. However, I have two concerns.
First, some people think the bars on the four corners of the track that can be swung out onto the track to keep walkers and joggers off the inner three lanes are just an obstacle course to be avoided. As they run around the corners, they then move back into the inner three lanes.
People, these lanes wear out the fastest because they get used the most. So please obey the rules so we can all continue using the track.
Second, people and their dogs think the signs prohibiting dogs are not for the outer area of the track but only for the track and field itself. The signs are clearly posted as you enter the outer areas.
The district needs to clarify this issue for the dogs owners so they know if they are allowed to have their dogs in the outer area or not. There seems to be some misunderstanding concerning this issue.

Correction
The article on Phillip Mowery in the March 30 issue of the Willow Glen Resident should have said he created the illustration of Evanescence in one of the pages of the Grammy program. For the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Mowery created the program's cover illustrations but Todd Detwiler designed the program. Mowery also created illustrations for the Humboldt State University Center Arts Program, not for San José State University.
