Crew Classic
The Los Gatos Rowing Club will be in the field on April 9 and 10 when nearly 1,000 collegiate and community rowers compete in the third annual Windermere Collegiate Crew Classic at Redwood Shores in Redwood City.
The event is sponsored by Windermere Real Estate, in partnership with Stanford University, and many local rowers will be in the boats for the collegiate teams when teams from Stanford, UC-Berkeley, Princeton, Yale, Washington, Wisconsin and other top colleges compete. The Los Gatos Rowing Club will be one of more than a dozen community and high school teams in the field.
Thousands of Bay Area fans are expected to crowd the banks of Redwood Shores to view the races and enjoy the food, beverage, and festival atmosphere of what is called the largest rowing regatta on the West Coast.

Soccer camp
Jorge Espinoza, coach of the Del Mar girls soccer team that tied for the championship in the Santa Teresa Division of the Blossom Valley Athletic League this winter, will host a spring youth soccer camp in west San Jose during the week of April 1115.
The camp, which will stress fundamentals and advanced training, will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day and the cost is $125. For more information, call Tom Morman at 408.872.3134.
Sting softball

Warriors camp
The Golden State Warriors will sponsor a youth basketball camp for boys and girls ages 816 during the week of April 1822 at Cupertino High School. The camp will focus on individual skill development, fundamentals and team play.
The camp staff will include high school and college players and local college players. Most of the Golden State sessions also include appearances of current and former Warriors players.
Each player attending the camp will also receive two tickets to the April 20 Warriors game against the Utah Jazz on April 20 at The Arena in Oakland.
