Vector Control says
'thanks' for coverage
Just wanted to say, "Thanks" for the newspaper's help in reaching out to the residents of Willow Glen regarding the high number of mosquitoes in the area and what residents can do to help fight the mosquitoes and threat of West Nile Virus. ('Willow Glen in spotlight as West Nile Virus hot spot,' June 1.)
I am happy to say several residents have contacted us regarding areas of concern and with questions on what else they can do to protect themselves and their families.
Thank you again for your service to the community of Willow Glen.

Clarification
The article in the Willow Glen Resident ("Petition sent to mayor to stop cuts to Fire Station No. 6," June 1) was sent to San Jose Mayor Ron Gonzales through the efforts of the Willow Glen Neighborhood Association. Susan Espinoza, a Willow Glen resident, approached the association to garner support in saving the Station No. 6 hose truck. The association sent the petition in with a letter supporting the effort.
