WG hockey camp

PAL soccer

Day with Giants

Sunday Friends will become Saturday friends with the San Jose Giants when the local non-profit organization hosts a special night of baseball at San Jose Municipal Stadium.

It will be Sunday Friends Day with the San Jose Giants on June 18, 5 p.m., when the local Class A baseball team plays host to the Modesto Nuts. Purchase tickets in advance through Sunday Friends and get four tickets for a tax-deductible donation of $25.

Young signing

Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young will visit The Fan Club, 350 S. Winchester Blvd. in San Jose, on June 11, 4-8 p.m., to sign autographs. Young, who starred for the San Francisco 49ers, will be inducted into the National Football League Hall of Fame in August. For more information, visit www.fanclubsports.com.

Kiwanis tourney

The Kiwanis Club of Cambrian Park will host a golf tournament on June 10 at the Coyote Creek Golf Club as a benefit for the Silicon Valley Children's Hospital Foundation.

The tourney, featuring a scramble format, begins at noon and the cost of $180 includes greens fees, warm-up balls, a shared golf cart, a box lunch, buffet dinner and two drink tickets. There will be a hole-in-one contest with a prize of $25,000 or a new car and other prizes for the longest drive, closest to hole on par 3s and lowest foursome score, along with awards for the three low scorers for the day.
