Willow Glen residents Ken and Helen Brady rolled away with gold medals when they competed in the lawn bowling competition at the 2005 Huntsman World Senior Games held in St. George, Utah.

The Bradys, members of the San Jose Lawn Bowling Club at Bramhall Park, struck gold in two of the three lawn bowling events at the Games.

The Bradys were two of more than 9,000 athletes ages 50 and over representing 57 countries who competed in the 25 sports contested in the Senior Games.

Revolution tryouts

The Central Valley Youth Soccer League Revolution, a boys under 12 A division class 3 comp team, will hold tryouts for the 2006 spring and fall seasons. Boys born after July 31, 1993 are eligible to play for the team that finished third in the district and won three tournaments last season.
