Mockingbirds should
be respected, enjoyed
In Moryt Milo's column ("This summer, nature became a bit too natural," July 26), she really needs to learn to co-exist with our wildlife, and she should tell her husband to quit hurling sticks at the mockingbird.
After a day of stress, I enjoy listening to our mockingbird as I am lying in bed at night. He has a beautiful repertoire, including many canary-like songs. His song relaxes me and puts me to sleep. In the quiet of night, he reminds me of what is truly important and the beauty which is all around us.

Corrections
The story "Willow Glen neighborhood elist helps police when crime strikes, July 26" should have read that any resident can email the police at Police@wgna.net to report criminal activity. Willow Glen residents do not have to be members of the WGNA elist.
The Aug. 2 story about the closure of the Willow Glen Library should have said the Tully Library is part of the San Jose Library system.
