After 30 years in downtown Willow Glen, Victoria's Dance-Theatrical Supply will be relocating to W. San Carlos Street.

"We are going to miss Willow Glen, for sure," owner Nick Jain said.

The move is a product of success. The 3,700-square-foot location at 1331 Lincoln Ave. has become too small, and the new 5,000-square-foot location will allow the business to spread out and offer a wider selection of merchandise to its loyal customers, Jain said.

"We have been expanding for the last five years," Jain said. "We just want to offer our customers more choices."

The store will be moving into the building adjacent to the Antiques Colony building at 1881 W. San Carlos St.

Along with space issues, Jain said that the store's five-year lease was about to expire.

"I thought, maybe it's a good time to start looking around," he said.

The new location does have limited parking.

At the current Willow Glen location, the store has five parking spots; the new building only has three.

"But there is street parking available," Jain said. " We will work with it."

The move is only a few miles, yet Jain said he will miss the community that has been his store's home for three decades.

Victoria Reinke and her husband started the company in San Francisco in 1938. The store moved to San Jose a few years later and has been a popular business in the downtown.

Norma Ruiz, Willow Glen Business and Professional Association executive director, said the store has always been a destination for Willow Glen.

"We are sorry to lose them," Ruiz said, "but I'm confident that they will do well in their new location."
