A 29-year-old man was stabbed on Delmas Avenue near Virginia Avenue on April 12, according to the San Jose Police Department.
A nearby resident reported a large fight on the 700 block of Delmas Avenue at 4:47 p.m. By the time police arrived five minutes later, witnesses said the individuals involved had fled south on Delmas Avenue, according to police spokesman Sgt. Nick Muyo.
The victim arrived at a hospital an hour later with serious but non-life- threatening stab wounds. The individuals involved in the attack were described as three Hispanic males in their 20s. Police are still investigating the incident.

Valuable tools are
stolen from residence
A Westgate Avenue couple is offering a $1,500 reward for the return of tools that were stolen in early April.
Willow Glen residents Richard and Michelle Smith were sleeping when Richard Smith heard movement outside his home around 3 a.m. on April 1. Although Smith assumed it might have been the children, the couple woke the next morning to find their truck burglarized and 20 years worth of tools stolen. The family's home is near the Husted Avenue intersection.
Smith does precision maintenance work for area tech companies, and several of the work tools are valued at several thousand dollars. The truck also contained three children's bikes, which were not stolen.
San Jose police are still investigating the matter, but Michelle Smith noticed a construction worker peering into the back of her husband's truck before the theft occurred.

Italian festival is
set for Willow Glen
The Willow Glen Business Association and the Italian-American Heritage Foundation have teamed up to bring the Italian Family Festa to downtown Willow Glen in September.
The business association voted to co-host the longstanding cultural event at its April 10 meeting. The move is mutually beneficial, according to the business association. The Italian Family Festa needs to relocate due to residential expansion at Santana Row, and the business association will be able to integrate a parade and previous Founder's Day events into the weekend event.
The business association expects at least 60,000 attendees.
The Italian Family Festa will take place Sept. 29-30 and feature Italian food booths, a beer and wine garden, arts and craft vendors, a children's corner, a historic photo display of San Jose, traditional tarantella dancing and grape-stomping contests.
Farmers Market to reopen downtown
The Downtown Willow Glen Farmers Market opens on May 5 behind the Garden Theater.

The market takes place at 1145 Lincoln Ave. in the parking lot behind the Garden Theater every Saturday until November. The market is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
