Huynh, Lopez scores two TDs apiece to lead Rams to victory

Ricky Huynh and Bobby Lopez carried Willow Glen to a season-ending 41-8 win over San Jose Academy last Friday, and to a winning season in 2007.
Huynh and Lopez helped the Rams run over the Bulldogs on Nov. 9 with two touchdowns apiece. The win completes Willow Glen's season with a 4-3 record in the West Valley Division of the Blossom Valley Athletic League and a 5-4 mark overall.
Huynh was the leading running back for Willow Glen, taking the ball in his hands 20 times for 170 yards and the two scores. His longest run of the day was a 24-yarder. Huynh also caught two passes for 20 yards from quarterback Daniel Castillo. Huynh's touchdowns came on a 14-yard run in the second quarter and a one-yard run in the fourth.
Though Lopez scored twice, he only carried the ball six times for 39 yards, with a 27-yard run as his longest of the day and the opening score of the game for the Rams. He also scored on a one-yard run.
The other main running back of the day for the Rams was Mike Gibilisco, who had 16 carries for 104 yards and caught three passes for 42 yards. Gibilisco had one touchdown on a three-yard run in the third quarter.
Shareef Allman also had three touches for 30 yards and one touchdown on a two-yard run for the last score of the game.
Nathan Kadelecek kicked five extra points, with the sixth failing on a fumbled snap.
The Rams took the lead early, scoring on a 27-yard run from Lopez in the first quarter, followed by a 14-yard touchdown in the second quarter by Huynh. After that, Gibilisco scored on his three-yard run to open the second half before San Jose scored its first touchdown of the game. Lopez then scored again on a one-yard run to end the third quarter scoring. Huynh scored his second touchdown of the game to open the fourth quarter before Allman scored his two-yard touchdown to end the scoring.
Castillo completed eight passes with no interceptions for 104 yards, with his longest going to Charlie Findeisen for 21 yards. Findeisen caught two passes in the win for 33 yards.
Defensively, Schuyler Ross was the stopping force for the Rams, making 15 tackles. Jose Gutierrez was next with eight stops. Lopez added seven and had a sack for a yard loss.
Findeisen also had seven tackles, while Gary Nankivell, Dalton Bond and Robert Morrey had six each for the Rams. Bond also picked off a pass and returned it 14 yards before being stopped. Dane Gurley also had an interception for Willow Glen.
A number of Rams had four stops, including Gurley, Huynh, Allman and Dan Winter. Donny Baker, Kurtie Smith and Jon Meza each had three, Matt Ward had two and Gibilisco, Marcus Findeisen, Javier Garcia and Andrew Gutierrez each had one.
